Visitors (PLEASE READ BEFORE ARRIVING) NOTICE: Due to Covid -19, until further notice, we are not allowing anyone to visit the cattery. If you are interested in buying a kitten, we will be able to send you pictures and video of our available kittens, through text or email, but there will not be any visits scheduled until further notice. To pick up your kitten when it is ready to leave here, we will require pick up in our driveway, while maintaining at least a 6 foot distance from you. Appointments: Because this is our home, visitors are allowed at our cattery, but on a limited basis and the visit MUST be pre scheduled with me. If you are coming to look at a kitten, please be on time. If you must cancel, I require 24 hours notice. If you are more than 30 minutes late to an appointment without calling or texting me, I may cancel your appointment. If you don't show up and don't give me advance notice, I may not reschedule your appointment. If you are coming to pick up a kitten, I ask that you also try and give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel, and if you are going to be late, please call me or text me to let me know. All visitors either picking up or coming to look, will be given a one hour time window to be here. Unless discussed ahead of time and approved for a specific reason, you will not be allowed to stay longer than one hour. If you must stay longer, (requires advance approval and scheduling), I will charge $50 per hour for my time that I have to take away from other obligations and work. I made this rule because I had potential buyers staying all day at times. I can no longer accommodate people for that many hours, unless there are special circumstances and you are pre scheduled to stay longer. Note: Due to time constraints, I will only schedule visits for people who are ready to BUY a kitten. I do not allow visits for people just window shopping. Cattery Tours: Please respect our home. No wandering into other areas or tours allowed. I have large animals and beehives on my property and people wandering around could quickly become a liability for me. Please stay in the areas I show you, or you will be asked to leave and will not be allowed back. You will be shown the kitten area, but will not be allowed in the stud and queen breeding area outside.
Taking Pictures/Videos: Also, in respect of my privacy, no picture taking or video taping allowed unless you have permission by me. Even with permission, you are never allowed to take photos of me, anyone in my house or on my property, or of pictures of the premises. With approval, only pictures of the kittens themselves is usually allowed. Please just ask first.
Handling Kittens: Handling kittens - Due to injuries to our kittens in the past, visitors are no longer allowed to pick up or grab our kittens (Unless I specifically give you the permission to do so). Visitors may sit on the floor or the chairs and allow kittens to come to them and they may pet them and play with them and even let them crawl on their lap, but are not allowed to handle them. The reason is because many visitors walk in the kitten area and immediately try and pick up the kittens and the kitten gets afraid because they have not had time to access the safety of the stranger they are encountering. So the kittens may struggle and get dropped. Every time this happens, the kittens are more leery about the next "stranger" that arrives. If you sit and let the kittens check you out and come to you, they will be much quicker to come out of their shell. If I see that the kittens are ok with you, I will usually tell you when it is ok the hold them or pick them up. But please wait for the ok from me.
Other info: Due to the potential for disease transmission from one cattery to another, we ask that you please do not visit any other catteries prior to visiting ours if you visit any other ones on the same day. Please visit those after you have visited ours instead. If you have visited any catteries within a week prior to ours, please wear different clothing and shoes to ours. This is a precaution we like to take because there are several kitten mills that are not clean, in Northern California and visitors could bring in some bad stuff on clothing from those catteries. Our cats/kittens always seem to react strongly to people who visit those unclean catteries right before visiting ours. They can smell the odor on you, even if you can't smell it. So please save me the time it takes to disinfect my whole cattery (and cats) after you visit by complying with this request.
Security Disclaimer: Our property has security equipment throughout the premises. By entering our property, you are giving us permission to video tape/record you. Our videos are both live, and recorded.
